Outside kitchen on stb270

We just bought the a/n trailer and in the pictures online it shows the sink slides out with the stove...but on ours the sink doesn't slide...is this correct or should it slide out?

also has anyone put a second awning on the trailer over the kitchen? Want something to protect us in the rain while we use the stove

Mixter,

Not sure since the model you posted is not listed as a Crossroads Sunset Trail trailer (STB1270). Sunset Trail has a ST270BH and yes, it does have a slideout stove kitchen combo.

The floor plan pic on the website seems to show that it slides out with the stove...

I believe if its a 2015 than the sink does not slide out but on the 2016 it does.

I have seen 2016 models with no slide out sink and 2015 models that have them.
Can't figure out why they would make some that can, and some that can't. Or if I can get the modification from then to allow mine to do slide out.

Does that slide out stove come out of a drawer? If so, I would like to add one. I have looked online and can't seem to find one.

I was at a show in New Hampshire a few weeks ago and noticed that the sink no longer slides out so I asked the sales rep and he said that they change it because that they been having a lot of issues with the hoses breaking. He said it was one of the most common warranty items on the outside kitchen units. I have a 2015 with the slide out sink and have not had an issue after a full season of use. I will be keeping an eye on it this season.

What about the stove? Does it slide out of an enclosed drawer? If so, can it be ordered and retrofitted to any model?

Talking

Doesn't appear to leave much room to use the sink. Where do I brush my teeth when I got locked out!

Mixter I have a 2014 and the sink slides out with the stove. I just put up one of those 4 legged canopy's by the stove. Love the outside kitchen. Never cook inside. Plus mine has a swing arm on the back to put a gas grill.

Mixter,

The slide out is nothing more than particle board and drawer slides and laminate from home depot. Depending how handy you are, you could probably fabricate yourself for a fraction what the dealer will nail you for.

Be sure to find out from Crossroads what the issue was with the hoses so you can "upgrade" there design.

On the flip side, if those hoses fail, you're talking possibly thousands of dollars in damage since that is the floor of the camper under there.

If it were me, I'd camp a couple times to see if 1) you actually use the outside sink and 2)it is that much of a hassle to use fixed in the trailer.

I have the 2015 with the fixed sink and really it is no big deal to me. Very accessible, easy to use.

The range however, must slide out-that's important.
