Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm new to the posting. I would like to find out I bought an RV receiver hitch to install on the rear of my 2014 Sunset Trail superlight 300 BH frame mount to carry less than 300 pounds any comments or suggestions on that would be great, thank you

HI Sarah, welcome.

You will find that most folks on here do NOT recommend carrying anything on the bumper as its not designed to carry a load. You COULD have the bumper reinforced at a shop but that may impact your warranty.

I'm sure others will chime in with more detail.

Burgy, I believe she said it was a frame mount not a bumper mount. If it's properly installed, there should be no problems.

Reciever hitch install

Thank you all for the info. So as long as I install the Curt rv hitch to the I-beams that holds the bumper that's not to much weight for the rear end of the trailer. The tv that I use is a F-150 2014 3.73 rear end 5.0l V-8 super crew STX. This truck pulls the TT nicely. I'm not new to camping but I've had different rigs and this is my first CR's.

You should be fine if the Hitch is attached to the frame per manufacturer's instructions
