Should have just left the front cap faded...

Took our TT in to get the front cap painted...for the second time. The first time Crossroads told the dealer it was too expensive. After another month or so, Crossroads and my dealer agreed on a price. Just got it back after dropping it off a month and a half ago. Went in with a faded front cap...came out with a bent jack, bent bbq mount, overspray on the frame, broken plastic cap, scratches on the aluminum corner piece, and slanting decals. I knew service departments were bad...but this is pathetic. Give me the parts, and I will fix it myself. I am not going to take it back to sit there for half a year with the risk of getting more damage and cancel half a dozen trips that are already paid for. Sorry for the rant!

Take pictures of every side of your trailer before you take it in for service. Hope this doesn't happen to you.

Wish Crossroads still had a customer advocate monitoring this web site. So sorry for your issues. There is no excuse.

You're scaring me. I guess it depends on what body shop does the painting for my dealer as to how it will turn out. I'll find out before I haul it in.

I guess I have been lucky...I use an independent service center for repairs I can't do myself...They have been in business for 40 years that I know of, a family business...So my suggestion would be to find an independent service provider...If they have been in business a long time chances are they have made more people happy than mad...

I also had my front cap painted...The paint shop was referred to me by a RV & Marine business in my area...This shop paints all their Class A's that have damaged paint...The paint shop does NOT paint anything but RV's...Again pretty lucky, but still I check references...

Now that my warranty is up in a week, it will never go back to the dealer. The front cap was warranty, so I had to take it in. I will give the body shop credit, the paint looks awesome. I wish they would have masked off a little better. Luckily, I can tackle most issues (which there were many) that come up myself. For the items beyond my skill level there is a mobile tech close to home who is top notch. I tried to use him for another warranty claim, but crossroads made me take it to the dealer.
