On my sofa/bed the back coushins have to be removed and then that entire back end drops down making the legs touch the ground. Maybe you have a different sofa/bed then me.

On ours the entire back comes off, but I assume just to get it in the door. Otherwise it makes no difference.

Mark: I might just send the photo to CR. As you said it won't cost me anything and maybe they can give me some insight.
