We bought a used 2012 Sunset Trail three months ago and have had too many issues for such a new camper. We had a lot of little problems but two major leaking problems. The awning sags, the battery is not strong enough to even put the jacks down, the kitchen faucet leaks, the roof leaked in the bathroom, the motor went out in the slide, now we realize if the slide is pulled in it leaks inside the camper that caused water damage. The dealer was able to fix the first leak in the bathroom and replace the motor in the slide out. However, it took them a month to get the part so I have owned the camper for three months (to the day) and it sat in there repair for over a month and is back in there shop again. They are telling me that if I add awnings to the slide it will resolve the leaking problem. Frankly I just have lost faith in this camper and truly think it is a lemon. The dealer is offering to take it back in on a trade for another camper but I am going to lose money for owning it for three months. I am worried if I do not get rid of it now the problems will continue and I risk losing more. The dealer is offering to trade for a used 2013 Zinger but it is also made by Crossroads. I am worried that the Crossroad design is bad and that is why the 2013 is being traded in after only a year.

Has anyone had the issue with the slide out leaking while pulled in? If yes did you try to add the awning to fix it?

Has anyone heard good or bad things about the Zinger?

All I can say is 9-1/2 years with two different CR units, never had a slide-out leak, but I have always had slide toppers.

Yes I had a leak while my large slide was in. The large
slide had a leak in the top right corner. A local deal did a pressure test and
found it. They were able to fix it and no leaks since. I understand how you
feel with having a lemon, I had a laundry list of problems and my unit was in
the shop at least 6 different times in the first year. With that said all the
problems have been taken care of and my last two months have been great.
Crossroads has extended my warranty, added two slide toppers, and some other
free stuff. This is not just a crossroads problem but a RV industry problem.
Stay safe and good luck<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
