Spare tire location

Today we picked up our new 2018 Grand Reserve, 26SI. We noticed that they now put the spare tire under the trailer, centered, behind the axles.

I'm not really fond of this location. Looks like it could easily hit the pavement when driving out of a gas station with a moderate incline. Anyone had issues with this?

Mine sits behind the rear axle and never had a problem. Between the axles would be less of a chance of dragging on something

We have a 2017 SS26 and ours is on the rear bumper with a fold down bracket. I added a cable lock.

Take the fold down pin off the bracket and add a bolt to fit the hole and tighten bracket up ...it will make the bracket solider and wont wobble on the highway...remember the bumpers are made of tin foil...
