Thanks. I'm in Shirley, Suffolk County. I got the trailer last year from Eddy's Long Island RV Center in Medford. They deal with Crossroads. I had a problem with the trailer shortly after I got it, a water leak over the rear pop out bed. Not the best design. The dealer was really good and made a nice modification to fix the problem.
Hey Joe what kind of modification did they make? We purchased ours last year, camped for 36 nights, through a few pretty heavy rains, only had one night where it leaked, and that was a hurricane like night with the wind blowing the rain almost horizontal. Would be interested in knowing what they did and if it helped.
It leaked from the black seal over the bed with the screws through it. On the inside of the seal there is double sided tape that seals it to the top. That side of the backing on the tape was never taken off so it leaked a lot. Took it back and after they fixed it still leaked from a couple of spots. On the outside of the camper on the back they put a rubber rain gutter over the fold out to keep water from going in. They also extended the gutter down the sides about one foot to keep rain from blowing in the sides. I've seen a couple of picsof this model online and they had some type of rain gutter on the outside however mine never did. Everything is good now with it and I think it came out nice. Does yours have anything on the outside?? If you like I can email you pictures of what they did.
Hey Joe Thanks. Photos would be great. Ours has a gutter on the outside, but it doesn't extend down the side at all.Would like to getimprovements done before our warranty expires next year.
I didn't forget about the pictures. Got hit with a snow storm here. I'll get them to you as soon as I can. It seems like that was the problem with mine, for some reason it never came with a gutter on the outside.
