ST26RB bed pedestal height
Does anyone know the bed pedestal height for the queen bed in the st26rb? I'm buying a mattress from costco that's 22" high including box springs and wondering if that's too high. If so, is there any way of shortening the pedestal? I guess it would depend on the height in the front where the outside pass-thru compartment goes under it? I'm picking up the new camper next week! Thanks in advance for any info!

You will not need the box spring. Just the mattress.Don't cut anything....

Thanks, that may be what I end up doing. I just know it seems a little better laying on it with the box spring.

You couldn't get it in there if you wanted to. The mattress bends in there. You would also lose the storage under the bed. You can't cut it down. Half of it is the pass though.

Thanks! Yeah, I guess I'll be doing something else with that box spring, then. Can't say I didn't try!

You shouldn't have to purchase the box spring just to get a mattress.

Mattress only... With a 3" memory foam mattress topper on the standard mattress we have to hold down the topper to swivel the fireplace, but it's do-able.

Yeah, with no box spring, I'll definitely be looking for something softer, like maybe a pillow-top. I'm not a memory foam fan, and I know that's odd because most people love it.

That is another option to try thank you, it really won't be much work either way. The wife and I are loving the trailer, can't wait to get it out for a second trip.

This is my setup. Not that big a deal to mash and turn fireplace.
