Id go out and check the converter at the battery like the one poster said, you will need an amp meter to check the amps though. Turn everything on for a while and let it drain a bit of juice out of the battery, then turn it all off and go check the amps at the battery and see what the meter reads. Thats the only way for sure you will know how many amps the converter is putting to the battery when it is charging in the bulk mode.

Frank, He is good as I know it, It's been a little while since I have talked to him. They were in KY but have since moved and I think he told me where he was going but I honestly don't remember where he said they were going.

If we can get him to come to the Factory rally I will be there , Even if I drive the GTO over just for Sat night , Though it would be cheaper in the long run just to bring the camper.

No you do not mean it the GTO out of the garage. Just keep it away from mail boxes while Chris is around. Where ever he is they must not have computer internet or rhey heard about his mail box experience and have banned all types of mail

Wow, turns out my old dead battery was worse than I thought. I had

assumed it was at least a deep cycle / starting type of battery, but it

only says starting on it. I am guessing the battery was just totally

unsuitable for RV use and that is mainly why it died in 1 year. Here is

the exact battery:

http://www.easternmarineoutlet.com/D...rting-Battery/

I took out my multimeter, and the converter is putting out 13.63v,

13.58 with the dead battery hooked up. I turned stuff on in the RV to

see if it went up to the advertized 14.4v bulk mode, but it stayed

around 13.6. I was unable to measure amps, as my cheap multimeter says

200 mA max.

The area for my battery box in the A frame in front of my trailer is about 23 x 8". I might just barely fit 2 x size 24 batteries, if I could find a battery box the exact size. I am leaning towards just trading in my new Die Hard size 27 105AH, for size 29, 115 AH, which is the best I can find locally so far. (without upgrading to AGM batteries)
