Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. A few weeks ago I purchased a 2013 ST32BH which the dealer lost the remote that controls the stabilizers, awning, slides etc. Just got the replacement remote and now I can't seem to find the control box or relay box so it can "learn" the new remote. I've checked behind drawers and inside cabinets, but can't find it.

Also, the remote I received looks similar to a TV remote. Initially I was told by the dealer that this trailer came with a "key fob" style remote. I wonder if the dealer bought this cheaper remote to save them money since they lost the key fob. Just a thought.

Thanks for any assisitance,

T. Nash

Call Crossroads they will set you straight. They helped me out. Some off the dealers only want your money. If you feel you are not comfortable with your dealer call crossroads. They will answer all your questions.

Your remote will have slide, light ,awning, fr jack , rr jack written right on it so it cannot be mistaken for a tv remote ...but it is the same size.

I contacted Crossroads and they said the control box is below the entertainment center, but its not. I did find a post that the control box is behind the drawer that is under the fridge on a 29SS. Nothing there either. They did confirm that my trailer was supposed to be equipped with the remote control option, but it appears either they do not know where the control box is or someone failed to install it in my trailer.

I guess I'll have to contact the dealer, Camping World, to find out what to do now. Although the remote option is certainly not a necessity, it definitely was one feature that helped me decide on this trailer. Very disappointed at this point.

the relay below the ent center should be the one for the slide , and the one you are looking for should be under the fridge. That where mine is...nuder the drawers that are under the fridge.

Camping world should have shown you how it all worked , . They should have taken one from another unit and programed it for you..

If there was no remote relay put in originally ....looks like rebate time....

On our 31bh it is under the bottom drawer under neath the fridge. Pulled out the drawer, read the directions on how to "learn" the remote and it worked just fine.

Yep. This is the usual location. You need to completely remove the bottom drawer- the circuit board is secured to the floor under the drawer.

Good luck getting this figured out!

Nothing under the fridge. Pulled the drawer out completely and its not there. Camping World has not been much help, nor has Crossroads. Sure doesn't give me that warm and fuzzy feeling about spending $29k on this trailer.

I would contact cfrossroads and give them the VIN number and demand they verify that the control box was actually installed.

Sorry for the delay to anyone looking for an answer on this. Turns out Crossroads stopped installing the remote system on new trailers. They say they had too many warranty issues with it.

I have a 2012 ST26BH and just had my complete board replaced due uncontrollable issues. It's located under the drawers below the fridge. U can buy a remote system for about $300 from lippert. It's a nice to have but not needed. Almost said the hell with it and removed it when it was acting up. It was running the jacks down without a command or warning. Very scary in route.

That is scary, so the stabilizers came down while you were driving? That make me want to either install a switch on the controller or pull the fuse when not in use.

Never actually came done while driving but that was my greatest fear. I would pull the fuse while in route.

I got mine with all the options except that just for this reason, the 18V drill works great.

copied from another post I started, I had some of the same questions.
confirmed by Crossroads. The last trailer to be manufactured with the remote for the stabilizers and awning was produced in September of 2012. Last 7 of VIN B021387

We own a Sunset Trail Reserve RK30. We tried to use the remote for the awning, leveling legs and porch light and there was just a red light that flashed in the remote. We decided to get a new battery for itand it works perfect. The relay is in the bathroom vanity behind a false wall on the left hand side.

I have a 2013 CR 32RL 5th Wheel. I located the remote module behind a false panel at the bottom of the cupboard adjacent to the main breaker panel. The remote unit was easy to reprogram once I located the small yellow LED light and small gray button just below the LED. Follow the instructions on the back of the remote control and the relay module will connect with your remote control.

A life lesson learned is to never leave your remote on the rear bumper of your pickup after you have packed up the trailer for the trip home. I won't be there when you get home ...

LOL. I had my remote out the last time we used the TT, when I was done getting all set up, I was like "where is the remote?". I looked all over for it. Found it later, it was in my coat pocket!

Didn't know a remote was an option, how do you find out if your unit is capable?
