Hello everyone, I'm knew to the site but owned several
different campers over the years. We're getting ready to pull the trigger on a
new 2013 Sunset Trail 32RL. Does anyone else own this model? If so can you
share your opinions likes or dislikes and what you pull it with. We're excited to start the camping season! Thanks!!!

See my other posts. We have an ordered SF32RL ready for PDI/Delivery; Sat 16th 9am.
If you order one have Dealer tell Factory to Foil Wrap the slideout floors before black fiber covering & building slideout room. If you can check out what is their Idea of a slideoutfloor; but makes next to no ledge/step.
Standard there is no / Zero bedroom TV but there is a cabinet & arm built in on all SF32RLs.
Theater seatting option is 3 piece not one, STD swevel rockers have no foot rests/recliner. We missed out.
Make sure dealer understands you want(have)to reach dump valve handles without crawling under trailer. NO roof use - next to no roofdecking (cuts wieght).
SF32RL is still the greatist we've found.
NOT 1/2 ton safely towable! You'll need 3/4 ton. Is built to light for 1 ton duelly without airbags instead of std leaf springs.

Thanks for the information. I guess I should have stated that we're purchasing the ST32RL... Travel Trailer not 5th wheel.
I'm sure they share many of the same features.
The trailer is already at the dealership so unfortunately I can't make any changes. I would have loved to change the standard leather chairs for the theatre seating but the dealership is telling me I can't exchange them and that I'd have to pay to replace them. They said the dealer wouldn't take back the standard chairs.
I would have also liked to add a rear ladder but I guess that's a no go too.
I also found out that the Reserve no longer comes with a remote for the stabilizers and awnings!!! Very disappointing!!!

Congratulations. We purchased a 2012 ST30RK last year. I am still loving it and can't wait for the first trip out this year. Many happy memories to you.

Congrats on your purchase...a nice unit...I hope you have many years of good use. Any questions just ask, this is the best place for answers...bar none.

Just purchase my second new unit today...in spite of the warranty going down to 1 year...as with everythng else in life...it's a crapshoot.

Best of luck with yours,
Jim

Hi, and welcom to the forum...We bought a 2012 30RK over the 32RL. A little shorter, a little lighter. We're pulling it with a 2012 Ford F-150 Platinum, ecoboost that's rated to pull 9600lbs, with anEqualizer brand hitch. It tows very nicely. Just liked the rear kitchen as opposed to the mid kitchen. Hope you enjoy your new camper.

We just purchased the Sunset Trail 32 RL and I had problems with the slide that has the kitchen and fireplace. It was stuck in the out position. Called a technician and it took us 2 1/2 hours to fix. My first problem was that I was not level. This caused the slide to be tight in the upper left corner by the fireplace. We levelled the trailer and the slide worked. By the way locating the modules is impossible. They are in the cupboard at the entry. Second shelf 3 screws, take off, 2modules, push button 11 times, will flash and then you go in the bypass mode to move your slide. Last module in bedroom left side below closet 2nd shelf, 3 screws, 1 module. Important information.

Anyhow the slide worked but it stopped 4 inches short of the wall. The screw heads on the slide have round heads. The first 2 were rubbing on the motor which cause it to stop 4 inches shy of the wall. We took the round head screws off and replace them with flat head screws and now the slide works fine.

Sunset Trail 32 rl. Make sure before you purchase the trailer that you get the dealer to install heat in the bathroom. There is none. We made them run it into the bathroom and we vented it below the shower. Works great.
