Sunset Trail
We have this light strip on the front of our Sunset Trail 300BH but we cannot figure out how to turn it on and off. Please help us. LOL.

Our 2011 has two LED lights instead of the strip and the switch for those is in the pass through storage area on the street side.

Took me a while to figure out too! There is a switch on the front wall of the pass through like MEHoffman said.

I have the same trailer. I get more comments/compliments on that light. Had my trailer over year and have'nt figured out any real purpose other than the "cool factor". Not sure why Crossroads installed it.

We have that strip of blue lights on our camper. A while back we were going to meet friends in a nearby town for dinner (we were camping), and I turned on the light strip. Driving back into the campground after dark, we could see those lights from at least a quarter mile away. I can see where that might be annoying to other campers. I don't think I have turned it on since.

I'm joining the choir. I've turned the cool blue LED strip on on ours when the kids wanted me to, but otherwise I'm not sure what use I have for it.. I'm worried that if I leave it on it will draw people like moths and they'll all crowd around going 'ooh' and 'ahh' until I turn it off and they scatter.

Change the color to amber, and the "bugs" will stay away.

The only time I've turned on those lights was for a few seconds to 'wow' my friends. Other than that, I leave them off because I'm worried about annoying other campers because they are very bright. Were you able to find the switch? Mine are on the front wall in the storage area, right beside the battery.

I turn them on when we go use the showers at night. It lights up the drive way and makes it easy to find. I'm thinking of running a switch in the bedroom. I hate having to go outside and walk around the TT to turn them off.

Bert, that's a good point too. Part of the reason I don't use them very often is because the switch isn't easily accessible. The 'porch' light and the awning lights both have switches inside the trailer, but you have to walk around to the other side to turn these ones off. I can see it being useful if you're trying to find your camper at night though. I hadn't thought of that.

How about for hooking-up/unhooking in the dark?
I know not many of us attempt that but, from a manufacturer point of view, they make a sale pitch that many would be WOWED over.

Yep...I have two sets of white LEDS one in each bottom front corner plus one on jack. That is exactly what dealer said they were for. To date, I have not yet hooked up in the dark. Suppose some do.

The front LED strip and the blue ones in the archways to the master bedroom area are certainly options I never use.

The frequency of light it throws isn't all that useful to actually see anything.

We have yet to experience that. LOL. We have unhooked in the dark when pulling out and leaving from Arizona. That was a little bit of an experience.

I tried using the archway lights as a night light and quickly realized they are way to bright for that. They have never been turned on since.

Now that we've gone on and on. DJ did you get the lights on? Oh yeah and I never use the archway lights either.

I am interested in corresponding via email with an owner of a Crossroads Sunset Trail 32bh. I am a new travel trailer owner and I don't know how things work - i.e., water heater, etc.
Thanks so much - if you'd like to email me, my address is: stephgo@astound.net
