Sunset Trail King Bed Dimensions?

I finally upgraded to a Sunset Trail 331BH from a Springdale 270le.
I will be taking delivery of it next week.
I want to buy a new mattress so I have it ready.
I cannot find the exact dimensions of the King Bed anywhere
Does anyone happen to know if it’s a 70x80, 72x80, 76x80 ?
Thanks so much for your help!

If it was me, I would wait until you get the new camper. Then you can take the measurements and order the correct one without having to guess at it.
It's not like the new rig won't have something to sleep on.

King Bed

We use two 'twin size' air mattresses on our king size bed. Can set the firmness of the mattress for each person and there is no mattress I know about that weighs less. Originally sanded down the pressed board the mattress sits on then covered it with spare carpet to keep the splinters to a minimum. That helps but still get a hole in an air mattress every couple years or so. Stop in Wallys and buy a replacement for a few bucks. Finally bought an air mattress rated for about 350 lbs a couple years ago and that has stopped mine from leaking, so far. (I didn't want to stop eating popcorn after dinner, so I splurged on the heavy duty mattress)

I waited and measured the area once I picked it up. It actually measured 70-1/2”x76”. This is the area between the clothes area and the length from front of trailer to end of plywood. It was not and conventional dimensions. We had to special order a king mattress and have it cut to 70”x 75”. Hope that helps.

We are trying to find a new mattress for our sunset trail 331bh. Thats the same measurement I got. But what type of mattress did you buy a foam or coil spring? Just trying to figure out how to get it in through the bathroom and up onto the platform.

we did purchase a coil mattress. it is about 9" thick and a pillow top and was extremely comfortable. The only drawback that I have found is the mattress is a little heavier and makes getting into the bottom storage more difficult. 2 people, not a problem but only one and the weight is the issue. I'm thinking of some gas struts on each side.

Hi There. What were the dimensions of your mattress in your 2020 ss253rb?
In our 2021 ss253rb it says Residential king everywhere but upon some research, I found d that the company pulled a fast one on everyone! The mattress size is actually 67 x 80, which is called an Olympic queen or super queen. Why did we do the research you say? Haha! Since Residential king was everywhere in the camper & manuals, we bought one of those boxed, 12" thick mattresses, opened it up and letter go! Well it was quite a surprise when the sides kept moving outwards! Yep, the company mismarketed it . So now we have to find somewhere to buy an Olympic queen! Wow! Can not find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I could find a 67 x 80 memory foam mattress?

If you don't have any use for the one you just bought, why not cut it down to fit?
