Schwintek claims that if you pull both white plugs on the controller, you should be able to push the broken slide in or out by hand. We tested this method and it worked on a small slide but it took three men to get it moving. We tried moving a large slide the same way but 5 men could not budge the slide because one side seemed to be stuck. Both slides were working so we know there was nothing wrong with any of the motors. Not sure what would happen if a motor is broken but you can always try this method.

There's Schwintek instructions in our Documents section here on the forum. Tells you how to get the slide back in without too much effort.

It's right up at the top of the page in the orange bar. Just click on the word --Documents.

I had issues once with my slide motors being out of sync. Lippert had a video and I was able to get them synced. Then during a visit to the dealer for other issues CR told my dealer to install metal plates under my main slide. Well this caused a gouge in my floor. I took it back to the dealer and CR refused to fix it because I was out of warrant. Fortunately my dealer did the right thing and fixed it. They installed a roller in the center because the slide was too heavy in the center.

Mine was rubbing on one corner when almost all the way in. It finally grabbed the flooring and ripped a hole in the linoleum. Had to get the slide removed and lifted a half inch on that side, and floor replaced. Also make sure you are level when moving the slide in and out, that can also cause it to move slow or tip in an undesirable direction.
I had the same problem with my 2013 ST 32RL. The slide tore the linoleum at the rear of the trailer when it was retracted back into the trailer. The dealer ended up raising the rear portion of the slide by 1/2 inch. Solved the problem at the time. Now my trailer is back in the shop for a second time since the front portion of the slide is now stuck and won't extend. I tried resetting the controller (located next to the frige behind a false pannel) following the diretions on the Lippert website. I wasn't successful in resetting the slide. So back to the shop it went. Grrrrrr!!

I received a call from my dealer yesterday morning regarding my slide problem. I turned out to be an anchor screw on the top slide rail that had backed out about 1/2 inch. The screw was preventing the slide from extending, The motor sensed resitance from the extended screw head and shut down. Re-set the screw and solved the problem.

Simple fix.

Great; now, a tube or two of thread lock for all of rail screws.
Another "repair" that needs done to add to list . . .

with all these problem with these slide problems you would think there would be a recall or some kind of compensation from crossroads. I have a 30rk and have posted all my problems with my trailer and is at dealer now for second slide problem, 3mos old and had both motors replaced, now motors need to be replaced again. camped a whole week with slide in, did every possible thing to reset, and disconnected power to motors at panel to release brake on motors, but didn't have enough gorillas with me to push it out, not a very reliable system.

We are camping now and have our 3rd slide that won't move. Also have done all the instructed things and not working. I'm thinking class action.

We are just TIRED of this. We paid out-of-pocket to get last slide issue fixed so that we could use a dealer close to us. Just done!!!!!!!! If Sunset Trail cares at all, they will contact us to fix this. Every slide has failed and we have only had for 18 months. Anyone intersted in a class action, please contact me.
