There is a switch in the storage bay on the front left side (slide side). Anyone know what this is for?

I do not know for sure, but I would think it is for a light inside that storage bay

On my ST26BH, that switch activates the front hitch lights. Works great if you're hooking up in the dark, or to add some light around the front of the unit. The lights are on each side at the bottom of the front cap.
