to tarp or not to tarp

Does anyone tarp their rv for the winter? I was thinking of strapping a tarp over the roof this year to help reduce wear and tear from the snow and ice of winter. I realise there may be an issue with rub marks on the side, but I would figure something out for that. I do notice that most people in my area do not tarp, however, which surprises me.

There is a campground near my house where they have permanent campers. In the off season the completely wrap their units with large tarps. I think if I myself didn't have a building where I keep mine I would cover in the off season.

Tarps do not allow moisture to escape and actually create moisture. If you feel you need to cover invest in a RV cover. Many folks choose not to cover.

Well there you go. Never thought about not allowing moisture to escape.
