Water pressure and pump

I have two questions, what is the recommenced water pressure to use on my ST32FR. I have read different pressures from 50psi to 65psi. I am getting an adjustable regulator and want to save my water system from blowing out.

Also is there an adjustment for the water pump that can increase the output flow when I am using my fresh water tank. It seems the flow is really low. Then again I am new and this may be correct.

Thanks

I use a simple pressure regulator and it is about 45 - 50 PSI. Works fine. I also removed the shower and faucet restrictors which also helped. I would think for the fittings they use in RV's that anything below about 60PSI max would be fine. I know of no pump adjustment for pressure but then I have always had factory pumps. Maybe some of the replacements do have an adjustment.

I was able to adjust the pressure on a couple of my pumps in the past. There is an adjusting screw on the switch.
Here is a copy of their instructions.

Question: Are there any ways to reduce system cycling?
Answer:
  1. Clean or remove the water savers in your faucets and shower heads.
  2. Remove as many elbows and tees as possible at the outlet of the pump, and replace with approved flexible hose (SHURflo silencer kit #94-591-01). Look for restrictive valves.
  3. Increase the shut-off pressure setting of the pump by turning the adjustment screw on the switch clockwise 1/2 turn. Note: We recommend this be done by a qualified service technician.
  4. Install a SHURflo accumulator tank to reduce cycling, keep water flow constant and even out temperature fluctuations.

you probably have a pump that is green and name starts with an 'a' . can't remember the name . mine started leaking with in 3 weeks and was replaced with a shur-flo and pressure was much better. ....but hey , CR got a deal on the cheap off brand pumps.

Is the the "crap" pump you speak of? If so is a pump failure inevitable with these?

Looks like an easy DIY swap out for a new one though.
