Camper was winterized for trip up North. Now I am down South so I drained the antifreeze. I hooked up the house water and I get water out of the camper sink spouts (all good). When I put on the campers water pump I do not get water out of the sink spouts. It must be something simple that I am over looking. Maybe I have to open a valve in the water heater compartment. Not sure which valve to open if this is the case.
I have 1/3 water in the fresh water holding tank. I hear the water pump when I turn on the switch but no water comes out of the spouts. I am thinking that maybe I closed a valve in the winterizing process and do not know which valve to open??
Could use some help.
Thanks
Bruce

Is the valve between the pump and the freshwater tank closed?

Check the positon of the valve that is connected to the hose that is used to pump antifreeze through the waterlines. It is probably still in the winterizing position.

I agree with Russ. You do need to reverse the water heater valves as well. Don't turn on the water heater unless you are sure it is full.

I am pretty sure Russ nailed it. It is a fairly common mistake. Follow Stan's advise as well, I keep an index card with reminders taped to the side wall in my water pump compartment.

Add more water to your fresh water tank. The pick up hose will sometimes "float" on top and not draw water until you get at least 1/2 tank or better of water. Even if your valves are set to by-pass the water heater you should still get water from the cold side of your faucets.

Be sure your low point drains are closed. You may be pumping your water outside.

Mine quit working this summer. I could hear the pump running but no water. I had to prime the pump by putting water in the hose used to winterize the lines.

Want to thank you all for your replies. Problem solved. Had to open a valve by the hot water and pump compartment in the master bedroom. I must have closed it when it was winterized.
A suggestion: It would be nice if the valves were numbered in black marker(1234 ETC.) this way someone could give better instructions on winterizing the water system and what the valves open and shut off.
