We are looking at a 2012 30RE, but have found a 2013 for less than $1000 more. Other than being one year newer, is there any actual difference?

Thanks for any help!

Yes the difference from the 2012 to the 2013 is the remote for the slide, awning & jack stands but the more toys the more problem, we have the 2012 30 RE and we love it.

What is the depreciated value of a 2012 model? I'll bet it is more than $1,000. If you plan on keeping the 2012 for a very long time then it makes sense. If you plan on trading or selling withing a couple of years you will take way more then a $1,00 hit. Just as with a leftover model car, as soon as you sign the papers you own a year old model.

Our 2012 30RE came with the remote for the slide, awning, jacks, porch light, etc. other than being one year older, may not be any other differences.

Changes can happen at any time and frequently are made NOT at the model yr change which is in the Spring, but just prior to the Louisville RV show in the Fall.
