Wheel Bearings

Wheel Bearings seized and burned up on one tire. Does anyone know the part number for the bearings or size of the spindle for a 2012 Sunset Trail with 15' tire.

Look at your axle rating on the axle tube. Then refer to our Lippert manual in our document section of the forum. They should list the part number there.

I don't know your part numbers, but I have always had problems with boat trailers. This question is for anyone, maybe Mark can answer. I am scheduled to pick up a new. ST26RB in thre days. I have a possible trip planned right away and another in a couple weeks. I read some threads about poor lubrication from the factory. I live in Ca so it has already traveled 2000 miles or so. Is there a rush to repack the bearings? I plan on doing it before my second trip. My first trip is fairly short.

There is no way of positively knowing the answer to that question without pulling the drums, and visually inspecting them.
Anything else would be a guess.

If you don't have the problem taken care of by now, here is another alternative.

Crawl under your trailer and look for the tag on the axles. It will give the capacity of the axles, plus some other numbers. Write that info down and call--

I feel pretty confident you will get the answers, and the parts you need.

Finally fixed. I had to replace the whole drum assembly, races, bearings, washer and grease cap. The outer bearing had just burned up and exploded. I only had 5000 miles on this trailer and am shocked. I am now inspecting my other tires and repacking all the bearings.
