Window Screen too tall

Just wanted to share our issue with our small window in the hallway across from the bathroom. We are not able to fully close, secure or lock the window. It seems that the screen frame is too tall to allow the window to lower all the way. The screen looks to be about a half inch too tall. As you can see from the 2 inside pictures the screen is down as far as it can go. The top of the screen is touching the window frame not allowing the window to lower all the way. The result is that the window will not lock and as you can see in the outside window 1 picture the window is not sealing properly. This could be an easy problem to miss as it is not that noticeable. It is both a security and weathering issue. Why would they manufacture a window screen that is too tall?

Well, the truth is that Crossroads does not manufacture the window and screen. It is sourced from a Rv window manufacturer. You're under warranty, so I would contact your dealer and Crossroads, by phone, to have the window or screen changed out.

mark5w, I should have worded that differently. I understand that CR doesn't actually manufacture the windows. I just don't see how parts can be made to not fit when they should always be the same size. I somewhat understand quality control issues as they put these RVs together as fast as possible and on a budget. But the parts should all be the proper size at least.

I will try to take the screen out. I don't see how without bending the screen frame but I will need a new one anyway I guess. CR emailed me back and told me to have the CW dealer order a new screen.

The screen was too easy to take out. It is spring loaded and just pops right out. I have an appointment at the dealer on 17 June to cut the screen to proper size.
