Winterizing 32RL

Anything special I need to do on my 32RL for winterization. I realize there is a separate forum section for winterization, but wanted to ask the Sunset Trail guru's here if there are special considerations for their units ? Newbie owner, don't wanna screw it all up.

I'm in Texas, so it's a mild climate with only a couple of freezes a year, but it only takes one.

Make sure you bypass and drain the hot water heater. Do not forget about the toilet, outdoor shower and blow the water out of the saniflush lines with air,as there is no way to get antifreeze in there with the pump.

Our '14 SF32Rl does not have "P"trapsfor the shower or outside kitchen drains.
Had to use shop vacuum to blow out drains instead of vacuuming out drains prior to filling drains w/ anti-freezzzze.
These non-P drain traps won't allow reverse flow (vacuum clearing).

With 2 1/2 gallons pink in fresh holding tank could NOT get any pink to "pump" thru line from rear tank to pump up front. Thats a long hose w/o adequate "winterizing."

From previous posts you can read of problems w/ Graywater Drain Valves unable to be "winterizied."

You should be using you water pump to winterize not pumping "pink" from your fresh water tank. A 2014 model would have a winterizing set up with a by-pass. Don't forget to drain and sanatize that fresh water tank. Also by-pass your water heater.

Pump direct doesn't "winterize" line from holding tank to pump!

Look for your water pump. My Patriot has it under the sink where I have to take a drawer out to get to it. There should be valves to turn off water coming from you water tank and a valve where a hose can be inserted into your gallon of "pink." Make sure you have the hot water heater bypass valve set in the proper position. Turn on pump and open a faucet one at a time to get the pink into your lines.
