Caused by too much frame flex. You need to check the frame carefully, especially for cracks directly above the leaf spring mounting points. May be too late now, but you should have taken it to the dealer back in 2013, you have a 5 year structural warranty from date of purchase.

If I remember right Larry, is there not a fix where they place a metal plate in there to beef it up

Never seen a crack at that location. I have seen the same crack BELOW the bedroom slide (mine included). The cosmetic fix is a "H" molding repair and is pretty easy to do.

Thank you for your response i did contact the dealer at the end of the 2013 season. they said I needed pic so at the beginning of the 2014 season I took some pic an sent them to the dealer. The dealer sent them to crossroads there reply was its past the 2 year warranty. The trailer has been on a seasonal site from the time we bought it in 2011. I will take a look at the frame when the season opens up.

If there are structural problems with the frame, then the problem is not cosmetic and certainly not from a lack of maintenance, therefore it should still be covered by the 5 year structural warranty. However, you would need to identify the underlying problem justify coverage. But it also seems unlikely that a unit at a permanent site should have frame issues unless there is a problem with how the unit has been setup and used. If it is supported only at the ends of the frame with no support at the axles, then that may cause too much flexing.

Finally, with a diagonal crack, a single vertical 'H' trim will not hide the crack, it would have to follow the crack or two pieces would be needed with a piece of siding in between. Plastic 'H' trim is readily available and inexpensive at lumber stores, plastic supply houses and thru the internet.

Where are you located? If you are in the northern country, is it possible you left the slides out in the winter months, and they accumulated a heavy snow load on them?
