We bought our 2005 PP a couple of weeks ago. The only thing that is funky on the outside is the burgundy swoosh on the left side is cracked. Is there someplace we can replace the swoosh or has anybody tried taking a piece of the swoosh to Lowes or HD to get a color match for paint and paint over it?

Thanks,
Trudi

You might be able to buy the decal from the parts/warranty department at CrossRoads. Their number is 260-593-2866.

We ordered the three off door side maroon decals for our PP a couple of weeks ago. If they do have the one for your trailer make SURE they tell you what the shipping will be before you order. The three decals cost us $110 but the shipping was $45. I almost fell over when we saw the purchase hit our credit card. That is just obsured for shipping three decals.

Congrats on your new Paradise Pointe, I hope you have better luck with yours than we have had with ours.

Thank you, both, for the info.

Hunter11--what issues have you had with yours so we can have a heads up on ours?

All the decals on my 05 PP are cracking. I am just taking them off and will tow a white box around. After I bought and reading the rv forums there were lots of problems with this color.

Trudi, I have a list over two pages long of the problems and issues we have had with our trailer since the day we got it. I am not going to post it on the forum. You will probably be fine with your unit we have just not had a good experience with ours.

I think the magic year was around '05 or '06. My '04 has been excellent, granted we do not get to use it as much as othersdue to kids and their activities but we have had very few issues. The main thing I would watch on your '05 is the tires. I would imagine you have the Alko Kober axles. There was a few years where some of those axles had issue's causing tires to wear unevenly. other than that, enjoy your trailer.

Geondebi, how did you remove the decals? Only our maroon decals are cracking and we would like to just remove them. We have owned our 2005 PP for three years now and have had no problems with it other than the decals cracking and fading. If anyone has any answers please reply.

The products below George recommended to me to remove our maroon decals and then replace them with the new ones we ordered from Crossroads.

When I first needed to remove the maroon decals that CR would not

replace. I got maroon color was running down and staining the gel

coat. My service guy said use a old credit card and the hottest day you

could find and the heat would loosen the glue and all you to scrape

them off. I used a heat gun or you could use a hair dryer and using

extreme care heat the area up and use the blade (second on the list) to

scrape off. The cracked ones were much harder and took more time.

After I got the decal off then the sticker off would get the rest of the

sticker glue off. Since that time the gray decals are starting to

crack too but are not staining the gel coat so I have time before I take

on that project.

I am not sure what I am going to do next replacing the decals as Keith

has done or find some one who can paint them for a reasonable price.

Hope this helps ... It is not hard just time consuming

george

The only reason we are going to the trouble of replacing the three maroon decals is we plan on getting rid of the trailer in the not to distant future and I feel like it will make a good difference on the price we get with those replaced as opposed to faded and cracked.

Besides my DW said she would change them out.

I agree with you in getting a better price with the decals looking good. I wish you would not had so much trouble with this trailer. If so do you think you would held on to it longer?

We probably would have George but going into retirement with a money pit is something we just can't do. We like the layout of the trailer but we can't take a trip without something happening to it. One of the reasons I went ahead and upgraded my truck was so we would be able to tow a more upper end trailer.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like a lot of work, but our RV is in beautiful condition other than that, so we may have to try it.

we have had ours for just over 6 years now and other than the decals it is great condition too. It is a bit of work to keep it looking great and well worth it as it is a big investment to just let it go. Have fun and come back to the boards here as there is tons of info around.
