Mark.....gonna be mid 70s or better in the day and 55-60 night time.....fall colors near their peak, especially higher elevations in national parks close by....chance of rain 50-50....either way...will be great weather for visiting with friends, sharing stories, cooking, eating and drinking....and by the way...Ricks forecast is very accurate as well.....lol

Nice your daughter will be close by...tell her to behave.....we have "bar motels" down here in the south.....lol.

I forecast a slight fog rising from smokers and some cool beer on the afternoon horizon. There is a 100% chance of campfires and a 75% chance your white elephant gift will be stolen on Friday night.

Anaro, stepped away from the forum for a bit and am very surprised to hear of your troubles. I hope you get squared away by M-D rally time! Really looking forward to being there.

Ok I spoke with the factory rep today. The trailer will be going back to the factory but not until after the rally. He told me to finish my season and not miss any time camping in it. So it looks like we will still be going to the rally.

Where is the Palomino factory. Do you have to bring it to the factory or is the dealer or factory taking care of the transportation. Glad to hear you will be attending M/D...

Tommy- The factory is in Goshen IN. The factory rep said to call him when I'm done camping and he will have a truck here to pick it up within a couple of days. I haven't pushed for them bringing me out to IN to view the fixes just yet. I'm going to wait til we get closer to it going to the factory.

We are super excited about the M-D rally as it will be the start of our 6 month journey. Although we had planned to stay until Monday, we will be leaving on Sunday to head South to Georgia with a layover close to Lexington, NC.

While reading through this thread, I came across this bit of information. My paternal family started out in Paradise several hundred years ago. I have not been there but look forward to seeing it next year.

Yes we took the Sabre's maiden voyage there. It is about an hour from our house. It is a nice quiet campground. We had a large pull through site in the trees. They have a nice playground and pool. The fishing pond is at the back of the campground near power lines. If you take a wrong turn with the trailer do not believe their map you cannot drive past the log shed and pond, it is barely a walking trail back there. Luckily I learned this while walking the dog! Oh and one other piece of directional advice, follow the campground website directions. Take exit 84 off 85 South. At the top of the exit do not turn, go straight across the road. The next road on your right will be sowers rd, turn right. Very quickly you will see a road.on your right and a campground sign near it, do NOT turn here, it is a dead end (I had to back the fiver onto another road to turn around, not fun). Just after this road you will see the campground entrance. They named their entrance road campground lane. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the additional information. My aunt lived on Linwood Rd. so I have a fear of "auto driving" in that direction.

Did you go to any of the great BBQ joints while you were there? If you go back, I highly recommend Lexington BBQ which is on Business 85. Growing up, we stopped there whenever we went into Lexington. I still call it HoneyMonk as we have known the Monk family forever. http://www.lexbbq.com/

Nope we stayed in the campground using the trailers systems for the weekend. Had to test them out. We'll check them out sometime though.

Yes there is an open field in front of all of our sites that has room to park a truck.
