Not to hijack this thread, but to share with everyone at the rally, we lost a pet this week. Many of you had pets at the rally and this was Suzy Q's first and last trip in the new Cruiser. Most of you never saw Suzy Q, she wouldn't move more than a few feet away from the Cruiser, since that was where her bed was. Anyway, her story is posted in the basecamp lounge.

So sorry to hear about your pet, we lost ours this past year and I know what a loss it is. She is now in doggie heaven running and playing with all our pets that have passed away.

We can probably make April 2012 if it is one of the weekends right after Easter. My barbershop chorus (East Texas Men in Harmony out of Tyler) has had its annual spring show the last weekend of April the last several years, and I won't know that date until around the first of the year. BY THE WAY, for those in our area. Our spring show is April 30 at 7 p.m. at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. Tickets are $15 with students at $5. Our chorus currently has 53 men, and the chorus will be performing most of the show. My quartet, Sound Advice, will be singing a number also. Let me know if you want tickets!

A conferance call rally may work for us although we sure enjoyed being there in person.

We just left Texas today on I-40 on our way home.

Safe travels to all

Dennis and Sharon....Don't rush, your still in the best weather. We got home Sunday PM to rain and wind. Same weather as when we left for the Rally! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Well Stan I guess we both get two summers this year. The one we had in Texas and ours starting in about July. We had 99 in Abilene on Sunday and now upper 20's in northern NM and AZ at night. It's been a great trip.

Frank, the show in Canton was great. There were 200+ tractors there and several folks selling rusty parts. We met some very nice folks there from Missouri and Oklahoma.

We camped right on site. Nice area of Texas also.

We very much enjoyed Texas as participants of the 'R' word.

Dennis

Stan, was that you I saw northbound on I5 on Sundaynear the Tulalip Casino just past noon? I saw a white Chevypulling a Crusier 5er. We were headed southbound towards home after a week at the ThousandsTrails in La Conner. Actually the weather Wednesday thru Saturday last week was pretty good.Sunday was the start of back to normal.

I hope you found all of the parts that you were looking for, and maybe you found your next project.

Patrick, it could have been as that is the correct time and location only my truck is light gray. When we got off the freeway in Mt Vernon, there was another Cruiser 5er continuing north on I-5. Don't know who it was. Hope you had a great week camping. I didn't know La Conner had a Thousand Trails.

Stan, come to think of it, itmighthave beena light gray truck. I wasn't reading theTexas 2011 rally thread so wasn't aware that you and Dennis had both made the trip. Wish we could have done the same... The TT La Conner is out on the reservation on Snee Oosh Road overlooking the sound. Nice campground and we did have a great time. We are trying outThousandTrails this year with their "zone pass" for our "off season" camping because the rate at the state parks has gone up so much. Glad to see you made it home safe and hopefully we'll cross paths in the CG sometime soon instead of the highway.

We made it home today safe and sound from our very enjoyable Texas trip.

Found everything at home as we left it except the lawn needs to be mowed. It didn't grow much while gone because it has been cold and wet most of the time whilewe wereenjoying the Texas sun.

Thanks to all for any tips that were provided.

Stan and Dennis, I am really glad you both got to come to the rally and hope you can both make it again. I appreciate everyone that came from a long way off to join us. I know it was a long trip for all of you and hope it was worth it. Looks like from the feedback I have recieved so far we will try and do it again next year.

Finally got back to the forum. Enjoyed the pictures. Looking forward to the big "R". Possibly coming this next year. If possible we will make the 2011 Rally. Hoping to see all of you there.

Jim, glad you made it back to dry land. "If" I do a rally next year it will probably be the 2nd or 3rd week of April.
