I am thinking that if I move to the USA and want to get satellite TV

what is the better choice? I want HD so can you tell me what receiver

is best for each company (I do not require a DVR as I have TIVO) and

what dish do I need to accompany the receiver? Can I get away with a 3

LNB Direct TV dish or do I need the 5 LNB? For Dish Network can I get

away with a two LNB model or do I need a three LNB model? I will not

require anything but english language programming. Any help would be

appreciated.

I would contact each company, I was told aligning for the HD satellitecan bedifficult. I have a Directv 3 LNB satellite dish with a standard dvr receiver. I also have to make some changes on the receiver if I do not run 2 cables.

I have a DirecTV HD receiver in my trailer and use a 5lnb dish. I have always been able to get it aligned when there weren't too many trees or a mountain in the way. Before I go I check

http://www.dishpointer.com/

for the setup alignment for where I am camping.Usually can hit my "spot" within 10-15 minutes. The dish need 4 bolts for assembly each time and takes up more space than a regular dish but Ithink it is worth it. I have even set up and received a signal at the NF dispersed camp site in my sig photo. Tall trees and a ridge line to the south. There is low point in the ridge right where I need to aim. At some point I want to get a DLP projector and screen so I can sit outside and watch the Saturday night racing...

I have Direct TV in our Cruiser. We use it most every place we go. It is standard definition with the small 18" single LNB dish. It is a piece of cake to install. Usually takes me really just a couple of minutes after I get the tripod mastvertical. Shots through the trees may take a little longer as I may have to relocate the dish. I prefer the keep it simple approach rather than HD.
