Had a bit of scary weather roll through the other day. Luckily no actual tornados this time, but we ended up getting some very large hail Can't wait to deal with the insurance company for all of this...





And of course, all of the rooftop vents and covers are smashed out and the interior is soaked, although we had left a bunch of blankets on the bed, so the mattress was pretty much dry.

The good news is, we used our truck to go downtown for an appointment, expecting more street flooding like the previous day, and there was no hail where we were, so the truck wasn't touched

Wow, hope the insurance company helps you out. Are you able to secure the roof and prevent more water intrusion? Best of luck to you.

Thanks, got rubbermaid containers over everything right after the storm and held them down with weights, went back up today and gorilla taped the AC unit shroud and the fridge vent, couldn't get the correct vent covers for the two air vents, so had to leave the rubbermaid containers over those, but we had quite a bit of rain last night and the interior seems to have stayed dry, so hopefully very little damage from water getting in.

Now we just have to wait and see what the adjuster says, hopefully not too long of a wait. Lots of other units were damages as well, but ours seems to have gotten the worst of it. Didn't see any others with paint missing.

Got a good look at the house today, and there's quite a lot of damage there as well, so i'm sure this will be a fun process getting it all repaired.

Some of the impacts on the second picture look dark enough to have penetrated the skin? Or just dark shading?

We get a fair amount of hail out here, it was a constant topic when we were looking for metal vs fiber sides. Had a couple small storms, so far no problems but don't think we've had any as bad as this.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts, I just wanted to share with a community I know is supportive and helpful, something I love about this site, even though i'm not a regular contributor here.

None of the damage on the sides are penetrations, the dark spots are where it hit hard enough to peal the paint off The top of the front where it curves to the roof looks like that too.

Hopefully I hear from the insurance company soon, I want to know what direction we are going to be taking.

WOW sorry for the damage on your camper...Hope all turns out OK...We have had hail in the forecast many times this year, so far we have been lucky and not had any damage...If not too much trouble, I for one would like to know how your insurance claim turns out...Good luck...

hm....sitting in a campground in Oklahoma City...sign reads "campground subject to flash flooding". sure hope it does not happen. We are here until Sunday, then heading East.
