Heading out today!

Heading south for our three week vacation to Hatteras NC. Will be trying out the new commercial ice maker. (Hoping it will keep up with my fishing needs). Brakes checked, air in tires checked(Goodyear Endurance), bearings greased. Been packing and checking things for a week. Beach bound!

Safe travels .

Hopefully we can get ours out next weekend . They are calling for the first freeze of the season tonight and tomorrow night. .

If plans hold up we will be able to head for warmer weather in about a year or so.

We leave tomorrow for a 3 nighter - last of our NY season. We always do an annual fall foliage tour. Meeting up with an old friend who I last saw 15 years ago at one of my previous employers. Good luck to all in your travels. Stay safe and enjoy the camping life!

Taken yesterday morning. Thankfully, winterized last week. Won't be heading out 'til April for AZ.

Didn't make it to our campground at south Hatteras. Storm off shore caused excessive tides which breached the dunes closing down Hwy 12 between Oregon Inlet and Rodanthe. We were lucky and stopped over at Oregon Inlet campground and they had a couple spots left. Hoping tomorrow will be better. But we’re still camping and at the beach.... So, life is alright.

At least we didn’t try to drive through the breached over wash like these people did.

Finally made it to our campground at South Hatteras late Saturday night. Got the ice maker going on Sunday. Went out fishing today (Monday). Ice maker is doing great. Not having to buy ice. Caught drum and blues today. Bait fish is out in force so catching bait is easy.
