Yup, I know exactly how you feel...and with a 6 yr old at home it's gonna be a long time before retirement for us.

Don't wish your life away folks. Enjoy what you have now, it's what memories are made of.

Lloyd is right..we understand that...we are just 6 months empty nested and fast approaching 50 years old. At the pace we are on with wife being a cancer survivor and changes in retirement plans, etc..I will be 70 before we retire, so we decided to get the RV and do what we can now. Both sets of parents waited until the golden years and lost health before getting to those golden years, so after the cancer battle..we have a different outlook on how short life is...so after 15 years tent camping..we are now RV'rs.

Wow..sorry for the over share.

That's what this forum is all about SHAREing.

I also have to agree with Lloyd the older I get the faster the days, months, and years go by....and Jean you are right also: retirement DOES take some getting used to....

Don't be too jealous of us. We still have a year before we can retire. Still looking forward to it.

I know the -20 to -30F IS getting tiring but I love the snow!! Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, even camping in a snow bank in a home-made shelter is FUN. I hate when these "mamzy-pamzy" weather people keep complaining about the cold and snow. Up here in the "snow belt" it's expected! Now I know you people down in the "sun belt" are getting a VERY cold and unusual winter and I understand you don't have the tools (plows, sanders and heating of us northerners).
But lets not kill a poor old snowman
