I thought 4 huge bags of candy would be plenty for the neighborhood kiddo's, but man they just kept coming, I'm hardly going to have any left over for me. Its neat to see all the kids dressed up. I might need to break into the wife's canned food supply and hand out cream corn or green beans.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy night trick or treating

I know what you mean, I had to back off to 1 piece each kid because I was going to run out.We had triple the number of kids we got last year. Most of them I don't think even live in our neighborhood but that's ok, I used to go to the neighborhood up the street when I was a kid. The little kids are my favorite. I had a blast sitting out front with the neighbors this year while DH took dd around.
here is my little Ariel.

Chris, I bet Karen would tell you to turn out the lights and save the canned (should say jarred) food.

Aileen, your daughter is so cute.

Our end of the neighborhood is mostly retired couples who started out here 30 years ago so we see very few kids. Hubby was insistent that I get candy he liked. Ha Ha - Big Kid!

Glad all of you had fun.

Thanks. she has loved Ariel for years and meeting her this summer at Disney sealed the Halloween costume choice early on.

Went camping last weekend. Thought it was neat that a lot of the campers had their sites decorated. Some were very elaborate. Never occurred to me that there would be trick or treaters at the campground. Come sat evening they started showing up! Most of them were not even from the campground. Felt bad having to tell them sad little faces we had no candy! Kinda funny actually. Lesson learned.

We went through 15 bags and ended up turning the lights off at 8:30

Here in Indiana Halloween is one of if not the biggest camping weekend of the year. Sites are all decorated up, man some people go all out putting up tents and big canopies for haunted houses. All the kids dress up and go out trick or treating, it's a blast. Some CG's have a bigweekend on each side of Halloween. it's cool--a lot of family get together's and big campfires.

Our membership campground does a massive haunted trail every year. The two weekends that runs are always booked solid. The trail also brings people in from the local townships. It is very noisy and runs until about 11-12:00. You can hear it from every corner of the campground. I stay away, too noisy and crowded for ne those weekends.
