I'm not sure everyone is aware that if you park your trailer for an extended time you can reduce the coverage on it saving yourself a few pesos in the process.



Some things to be aware of...

If the unit is financed you will need your lenders persmission to reduce coverage.

If you reduce the coverage be sure not to move the trailer until you have added coverage back on

Noe all insurers can reduce the coverage



In my case the Sunset Trail is on my auto policy. Since the truck and trailer are both stored for the winter I reduce the coverage on both to comprehensive only. When I'll be moving the trailer I'll add collision coverage back on the trailer and full coverage back on the truck.

Good point Al. We do the same with our tv. Just comp, 5er, we have to leave full coverage on all year, but that's Progressive for you.
