This is better than the soap operas.... Stay tuned as the drama continues.

I always considered my Cruisers as top of the line, my affordable line anyway.

I am by no means knocking the Cruiser as we use to own one and it was the best unit we ever owned but if that is now their top of the line unit I find it hard to believe they are going to be able to compete with the big boys.

I don't think a Thor product will ever compete with the big boys. Not thatsome of their products are not agood value but even the best of theRedwoods will not compete with something like this.

http://www.tetonhomes.com/index.htm

This is a true full timers unit and from what I have seen, theseare top quality in and out.

Scott, I am researching full time units for us right now and the top three on my list are non-Thor products. Unfortunately I do not have enough truck to pull a Teton and my wife would have to pickup another job after we retire to help pay for it.

First you might have a problem finding a new Teton since they went out of business several years ago. Second, my brother in law has a Teton (2006?) and he has had problems just like bewitch any other unit.

CEO ousting usually is related to either not making sales targets or not containing costs ( lower margins). Spring sales must have been soft.

I know my dealer is not happy with the rep team they have at CR.

All the manufacturers are making cheap now. I had a Jayco and my dealer swore by them. Now hes carrrying KZ because Jayco's price point is no longer competitive.

IMO, the industry is faced with the making trailers lighter as fuel costs have crept up the past several years. lighter means lighter materials, lighter materials means cheap. Cheap means things break.

I seem to remember back when Thor took over crossroads and all the management changes happened many wondered if crossroads would go the way of carriage. All of this makes one wonder could that really be a possibility?

ok, so let me get this straight. Montague and others came to Thor after leaving Carriagewhen Carriage had toshut the doors? Now Thor has let them go? The old Carriage is now Lifestyles and they are building a quality rig?

If this is the case, seems those individuals may want to look into a new line of work.

Montaque put himself out there with the "12 point promise". That was a marketing failure. So he is the sacraficial lamb. What is next?
It has been reported that Lifestyles is a group of former employees. From the reports these are the people who made a great Carriage product not the management . They went to the Thor family and are now disappearing.

The way their product has gone down hill the last few years

In my opinion, it's about time they started doing a good house cleaning there. The buck stops at the top as far as I'm concerned.
Lets all hope they get their s**t mess cleaned up, turned around, and start producing a quality product again.

Al, I don't think ole Tom was a sacrificial lamb. I think he was one dumb s**t and it finally caught up with him.
