Wish I was camping, but going to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH this weekend instead. Going next weekend camping for our 3rd trip in new camper.

Could'nt have said it better. Have a safe holiday, but respect the reason. It is due to our vets that you can enjoy this holiday.

Billy Ray got it right and thank you for bringing up what the lyrics of the song said. As Americans sometimes we celebrate the holiday but forget the real meaning of it. Our thanks for all who have served, and rest in peace for those who have given all.

To all my fellow veterans and to all others, remember what the day is for. Honor to those who gave their all for this great country. Happy camping. We will be camping with our three daughters and their families at our seasonal sites. We have four sites together. We are truly blessed.

Staying @ Deer Haven in Lisbon, CT. Tonight they had a get together to honor all of the vets...a beautiful cake and coffee...they called us all up one by one and the place was packed...very humbling indeed. 1 from Korean War, 10 of us from Vietnam era, and 3 from Desert Storm & Iraqi Freedom. It was nice to have people acknowledge others like that. Campers are a unique breed, glad to be among them.

Travel well,
Jim
