After +1045 days of camping our carpeting is due for a change and the wood grain vinyl is now on DW’s wish list of improvements; this is better than a new 5th Wheel.

We ordered ours w/o LR carpet and use an area rug, much easier to clean or replace, just have to roll it up before pulling in the slides. When you decide to replace your carpet, go with 100% vinyl plank floorings. But not the thin stuff (2-3mm) that HD sells as Allure or Trafficmaster, the tongue and groove are both so thin they are easily damaged. Lowes sells some called Smartcore that is 5 mm thick and better. I have installed both, imperfections in the floor will not 'telegraph' thru the thicker stuff. The clear advantage of 100% vinyl is no water damage, it also doesn't need as much expansion space, probably could get by with 1/8" in an RV.
