We are starting on Friday as well.... I have 6 days to break the new truck in before towing. (Yes I pick up a new TV in the morning, I will post about that once the deal is sealed and she is home).

Thats Sweet. Ohio weather has had us pinned down but the group has decided to move forward regardless. Our resolve is strong...will be working on the rain starting in the morning prepping RV.

Forecast for our first two days out is thunderstorms..happen every time we go..that why we call are camping/RV equipment the StormPOD.

Our camping group is 2 hours way from launching on the first outing of the season. If your watching the forecast for Southwest Ohio you will find a typical weather pattern for us...this is why we named our Z1 the "StormPOD"

Setup in the rain is inevitable. Strong rounds of thunder and rain as we hookup today.

Yes we know..we are crazy. But this is what makes our RV friends so cool.

Just Deployed. No power at campground due to storm. So on generator.
Soaking steady rain during setup. Level 1 setup only until weather lets up.

We have levels of setup.
Level 1 - Essentials only
Level 2 - Communications (TV, Media Server, Internet, HF Radio)
Level 3 - Comforts (Outdoor rug, awning, K9 Setup, Grill, etc)

Now Lunch then nap time..going to be a great weekend.

We are currently at 70 degrees, but it has been raining with thunder and lightening since yesterday morning. We certainly don't need rain right now.

If we waited until there was no rain we would never go.

Well, just got back. The weather was perfect. Almost 80 and sunny on Sat and 60's and cloudy today. No rain. DD was allowed to play like a big kid without parents at the playground for the first time (we are frequent flyers at this CG and know the area and type of campers usually there). The new puppy (now 8 1/2 months old) had his first camping trip and showed that he might just be a great camping dog. Well, at least he loved it and wasn't much of a barker and didn't tear the crate apart when left alone.
DH and Capone resting in the TT after a romp at the dog park.

Capone investigating his new world.

We just got back from 4 days.
1st two were in wind and rain, including setup. 3" of rain over the first two days with 45mph winds for 14 hours. This was at our home campground so we know the area well. Our group managed to get a great fire ring time in.

The StormPod held up well. 2 K9s did well as always. New Flip Jack was great.
3rd night dropped below freezing..no issues at all..furnace did well.

2 week and we hit the road again.
