Way too nice for those salted toads in Illinois. Need to send down here so Hoover can try it out in the warm sun

Bought it from the Dodge dealership. Just got lucky, a retired guy bought it planning to buy a 5ver, but bought a motor home instead.

Chris, Wow, I thought old blue looked pretty good, but if you got a deal you couldn't walk away from I know that feeling. Best of luck with it.

Enjoy the truck. We bought an '11 Ram 2500 diesel a little over a year ago. Absolutely great for towing. Did it come with the heated steering wheel option? It's not something I'd have paid extra for, but, since our truck was a last-on-the-lot 2011 and it had that option, we had little choice. Now that I've had a couple of winters with the heated steering wheel up here in Minnesota, though, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

It did come with a heated steering wheel. I feel the same as you do about it, its not something I would of paid extra to get, but It is nice in these cold temps. The truck seems to do everything, but drive it self.

Thanks, I'm trying to send it your way so you don't feel left out. They are only calling for 3 to 7 today with the heavier stuff being further North. Hope you guys are enjoying yourself and have a safe trip back home.

I'm finding out she doesn't get as good as mileage as my 03 Cummins did, but I hope to fix that when I get the programmer installed and the cat and DPF taken off. I have heard people are seeing 4 to 5 mpg better after doing this so we will see. Plus I've heard at around 30,000 miles then get better mpg so only 18,000 more miles til I hit that.

Thanks for everyone comments, I can't wait to hook the 5ver up to her.

Travel Safe

what kind of mileage are you getting? 4:10s? I get 17mpg empty and about 11-12mpg towing. I have heard the same about 30k miles until its broken in. I can say each summer I see a little better mpg when empty. Towing mileage hasn't improved a whole lot. One thing that surprised me; when we were down in the states for a few trips I tried some bio diesel in it and it helped towing 1-2 mpg.
