Hi Lloyd,
As newbie RVer's, we discovered to our horror that cooking over naked flames in our RV not only heated the food but also instantly raised the temperature inside Harvey.
Not much fun in FL where the trick is to keep it cool.
Now boiling water for tea or coffee is addressed with an electric kettle, a single burner induction cooktop and assorted cookware handles most of the cooking with the microwave taking up the slack.
Ours is a 'NuWave' from Walmart, cost under $100 and came with a saucepan and skillet. Had it about three years, wouldn't be without it.
I'm seriously looking at removing the OE oven (which has never been lit) and three burner cooktop to gain more counter surface, and maybe search for a portable double burner induction top.
The space I gain where the oven is will become a deep drawer for the new induction unit and it's associated cookware, plus space for a slow cooker and the kettle.
And dearly beloved will have another two feet of countertop when everything is stowed.
