If every body would go to their inbox on their PM and delete the old messages, it would sure clear up a lot of space.

Why is this a problem? You discovered your PM box was full? Tried to send a PM and found a full box?

Al:
It's the "in box" that I can't delete. The mail I send, I can delete.
Example= If I send you a 100 messages and never delete them out of my sent box you will always have them setting in your mail.
Any ways I have never been able to figure out a way of deleting received PM.
If anybody else has please let me know.

Send a message via Yahoo to csham

I successfully deleted an item in my inbox. On the right side of each message is a check-box. I just clicked the box next to the one I wanted to delete and the clicked "Delete Selected".

By the way, the check box does not have a column header. It is just a box on the right hand side of each message line.

I think Loyd that it can only be deleted when the other party has deleted

Frank, I'm not saying you are wrong with your statement about the sender having to delete the sent message for you to be able to delete it from your inbox. It would be very odd for it to work that way. As a receiver, I have no way to control what I keep and what I delete. I could PM you a whole bunch of garbage, fill your inbox and you wouldn't be able to delete the junk I send you in order to get good messages from other people.

Oh CrossRoads moderator...can you help out here?

Am I missing something here? What is the subject? What is the problem? Is everything just fine? Can I go back to sleep?

Frank:
I believe you are right. It states on the bottom of the page "messages will remain in your out box until recipient deletes them"!!
So, that being said, if every one that has gotten a PM from me would delete them, my out box would be empty!!

OK, I'm obviously a little slow, but now I get it. I can remove messages from my "Inbox" but not my "Outbox". My Inbox is now empty, so if I understand this correctly no one will have a copy of those messages in their out box. If I need to move to the back of the room just let me know & you can explain it for a simple fool like me
