Saying So Long

Well I have not been on the forum for several months due to taking care of some family business. After 10 years as Crossroads owners it is time for us to move on. We have ordered a new unit and the time has come for me to step away from this forum. I was the first member once the forum came online back in 2004 and a lot has changed since those days. I will remember all of you I have met on this forum and at the Texas Rallies we had and I hope to see you down the road. Thanks for the great memories. Keith

Really sorry to see you go. You have helped lots of folks by giving good advise on all sorts of problems. Enjoy the new unit and may it be trouble free.

Well Keith, I to will be sorry to see you leave. Like George said, you have been a lot of help to a lot of people here on the forum.
It was nice to have met you at the TX. rally back in 2012.
I wish you and yours the best of what ever life brings your way.

Keith you don't have to leave. I don't care what you pull so as far as I'm concerned, stick around.

BTW where is your running buddy, fford?

Thanks guys.

Clif, I talked to Mr. Ford a couple of weeks ago and he is a busy man these days. I think the boy works more now then he did before he retired.

So inquiring minds want to know - after all the models you looked at what made you choose Heartland?

Keith, as you can see from the above posts, you have made a positive influence to this forum for many years. I appreciate your advice, experience and wish you and your family all the best. It has been fun chatting, meeting you at the Texas Rally and often times sitting back and reading the banter of the old days when things got out of hand a few times! Take care and enjoy the new rig.

Well I joined this forum around the time you made your last post prior to this one, but I agree there is no need to leave just because you are buying another brand. I did research Heartland Landmark Grand Canyon and can imagine why you bought one. Those are some premium looking units!
Enjoy!

Again, I want to thank you all for your well wishes and allowing me to get to know you over the last 10 years.

Scott,

I spent several days and nights on the DRV, Lifestyle and Heartland forums reading and researching what owners had to say. Lifestyles dropped off the list about 6 months ago after owners started reporting quality issues and lack of support from the factory. As much as we liked the MS we just felt like the Landmark gave us a better bang for the buck at this point. We got the floor plan we really liked and every option we wanted plus running gear upgrades for about $22k less than the MS. Plus the Landmark is rated for full time living and has the 2+5 warranty that Crossroads use to have. Also from what I have read on the Heartland forum they have excellent customer support.

We were very worried about purchasing a new unit and having it be as big a problem child (I am being nice here) as our Paradise Pointe has been but we love the RV lifestyle and hope we made the right decision this time.

Larry, thank you for the advise you gave me on my questions about the different build processes the manufactures use. That helped make our decision.

For those that I have stayed in touch with by email over the years my email address has changed. Below is my new one for those who are interested.

Keith, as many others have said and for me too you have been a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of rving. Debi and I are moving up to Southern Washington in the next month if you ever happen to be up that way let us know. It has been a real pleasure meeting and talking with you in Texas. We hope our paths cross in the future. Best to you, Beverly, and the pups.

Fare thee well. I thank you for your help over the years. A different brand doesn't have to mean goodbye... at least stop by and visit from time to time. Best of luck in your life and may your new heartland bring you many years of happy camping.
