Strange Pop Up

Twice now.... yesterday and today, while logged on here I've had a strange "pop-up" or web page link come up on my screen. It is some type of "X" rated advertisement with a click/logon button. It has not happened while I was on any other site. I immediately ran a malware and virus check and my computer was clean. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar while logged on here?

No, but another site altogether (a truck owners forum) has been giving me fits. I wish these devils would go back to where they came from!

Are you using "Ad Block Plus'?? Install and use it and your pop up ads should stop. If not, run a cleaning program such as CCleaner, or Glary Utilities on you computer. Malwarebytes is also a good program to run also.

On one of the forums I frequent - the AD itself had issues, not the site...
once the site admins identified the specific ad they were able to stop it...

but I use firefox and rarely use IE except when I have to because firefox is less prone to bad things...

Seems I did see a scantily clad advertisement awhile back. I never click on any of the ads and did not cause a problem. Can't remember how long ago it was now.

Great tip! I have Malwarebytes installed, and also have CCleaner. However, the Ad Block Plus is something I've never tried but will certainly be installing it now. Thanks
