So where is everyone going for the 4th of July this year?

My family will be in Williamsburg, VA from July 3rd to 9th. We bought annual passes while we were there inAprilwhen the kids were on Spring Break. Still trying to figure out how to see it all. We saw a lot of the Colonial area, but still have a few buildings to see. Also hoping to get to Norfolk and President's Park.

We will be in Spanish Fort, AL at Blakley State Park. We are hoping it will be alright it has gotten mixed reviews.

Frank - we were at Styxriver last year. Since we have family in the Mobile/Bay Minette/Fairhope area, we try to stay somewhere close. I guess if Blakley doens turn out, we may go back to Styx...

That sounds good If you do come let us know. How did you like it, we belong to a sister park in Abita Springs La They now have four parks involved. They are run by Ocean Canyon Properties. Hope to go to the Tres Rios in Texas this year also. Did you enjoy it there. Janet sister lives out side of Mobile, and I have a Cousin that has a Boat in Pirates Cove

Yea, well we are staying home, We have to see if there is going to be any money left over after taxes, If so we will be looking for a sale on mail boxes, and a bag of sak kreet.

If that does not work out will will just go camping with friends down by the Ohio river.

You can count yourself lucky if that's all the "mo-skeets you will have per camp site.

We are going to Prairie Flower at Saylorville Lake, it is a Corps park north of Des Moines. They are already telling us two of the boat ramps will be closed for the weekend, imagine high water in the Des Moines area.

I am leaving tomorrow morning to take the Fiver down the road to the Tall Chief, Western Horizons park just south of here. My folks are already there as of this morning. We havetwo of the park models at Tall Chiefreserved, one for my sister's family coming on Monday and one for my younger brother's family. They are coming Wednesday from South Carolina, my brother, his wife and their 5 kids. My other brother lives just down the road from the campground... We will be having a big family gathering for the 4th and to celebrate the younger bro's 40th birthday.

Add in my folks have both recently celebrated their 70th birthdays and my recent 50th, we'll be having a good old time celebrating.

I'll be staying at Tall Chief for 2 weeks. It is close enough I can commute to the job during the week and enjoy the campground in the evenings and weekends.

Everyone have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend, enjoy our Independance and remember those who protect it. Fly that flag proudly...

We will be spending the 3rd thru the 6th at Wekiva Falls RV Resort in Sorrento, FL (near Orland). Spring fed lake leading to the river. Tiki bar on the water with entertainment. Leaving on the 10th for Murphy, NC for 10 days. Staying at Peace Valley CG in Marble, NC. Will be kayaking, tubing, ww rafting, golfing and fishing. Need a break from this Florida heat. At least NC will be cooler at night. Everyone have a safe 4th and happy camping!
