Toronto RV Show

We went to the Toronto RV show this past weekend.

Walked away a little disappointed. Of all the vendors that were there, Crossroads products has little representation. Don't get me wrong, there was a small amount of Crossroads products there, not like in the past. There is usually lots to look at and check out. Even our own dealer had NO Crossroad product there.

I was just surprised.

I was surprised as well, but when I asked why they said that they bring bigger trailers to this show. They will bring the smaller units to the other shows. We were there looking for a 5er so that was ok for us but we brought friends who wanted to see 25-29' bunkhouse units and they left a bit disappointed.

How big was that show though, my phone said we walked 9KM.

Very sad indeed. If they want to plant the seeds of future business, they need to show pop-ups, tiny, and small campers to young families. I think that today's market (retiring baby boomers) gives them a false sense of security in thinking they can sell mega-rigs from now on. It won't be too long before us boomers get too old to drive, or worse.

I was disappointed as well. Sounds like a pretty lame excuse re size of trailers. There were an abundance of smaller trailers there from other manufacturers, as well as pop ups.
The dealer I purchased from had one Crossroads trailer there. They are now carrying Jayco and I get the feeling that the Crossroads part will be going soon.
It was a good show with advertised being over 500 units.

There were lots of pop-ups and tear drop trailers some of which were just stupidly expensive. I understand the idea of making something small enough to tow behind a family van or midsize car but there was a 16' trailer for 28K. I looked all over it to see where the money went.

Every dealer floats between brands, thats the beauty of not buying into the brand like car dealerships. You can jump year to year to who ever has the best trailers.
