No it’s not a domestic turkey. We’ve had several over the years. The flock from last season had 8 total that were white. Haven’t seen the white ones in about 6 months but had him and another white one come in today.

I don't know about that. If there was a way of tracing his genetics, you would probably find out he is a relative of one of those that was pardoned at the white house.

We also have these around. Please explain where they came from. It’s not that unusual around here. I took this picture last fall near my house. Maybe it’s the water. Lol

It's a Piebald deer. A piebald is an animal, usually a mammal such as a white-tailed deer or horse, that has a spotting pattern of large white and black patches. The color of a piebald’s skin underneath its coat may vary between black. A genetic variation (defect) produces the piebald condition in white-tailed deer, not parasites or diseases.

Yea I know what it is and what causes it. Just saying it’s a nature thing.

In our area, white deer are called albino's. I have heard the pie bald reference also, but it seems to have something to do with whether the eyes are pink or not. I've never seen one.

It's snowing like crazy right now so it won't be long and they will all be white.

Here in Southern Tenn. we have no snow. But the temperatures at night are down in the 20s. So far I don't feel your pain. lol.
Used to live in N.E. Ohio's snowbelt. Labbie, I could never figure out why everybody called it the "midwest."
