My neighborhood hit -10 with a -21 windchill. Why do the kids get off school when it's cold, but we still have to work?

thegreatcanook, at least your trailer is still talking to you. Mine hasn't spoken to me since I put in the pink stuff in november.

At least you were able to wait until November to put pink stuff in. Mine was done in the middle of September.

Even though I did the pink stuff in October, I would still go out and visit it. It's too cold to visit now.

Temps gotta raise 56 degrees to reach freezing this morning. Supposed to get above zero today and I think that makes 88 straight hours below zero. Wifes talking about taking a couple of weeks in Arizona. The thought of opening the slides in this weather is more than a little concern. Not sure how well the rubber seals like being screwed around with in this weather. With my luck it would probably be 40 in Arizona and 50 in Minnesota after I got there.

Not complaining! We certainly don't have it as cold as some but it was -7 here North of Cincinnati this morning.

We used to live in Parma, Ohio (A large suburb just South of Cleveland) and one winter we had a stretch where it was -20 to -25 for 2 days. We had a brand new 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass and a 1971 Datsun. The Cutlass was sitting in an unheatedgarage and the Datsun was sitting out in the parking lot with the wind blowing right into the radiator. Just for giggles I went out to see if the Cutlass would start. It would barely crank let alone start. As I walked back to the apartment I passed our old Datsun. I thought "there is no way this thing will ever start" but again for giggles I decided to try it. I got in and gave it a crank. It turned over so slowly that I started laughing when all of a sudden it started. I couldn't believe it. That old car must have been so "loose" inside that even in the cold and with the thick oil it still started. I sat there with it running for a while, then did a couple of "donuts" in the parking lot. Shut it down and went in to call my FIL. Being a mechanic he got a real kick out of it.

It was -34 Celsius this morning, below -40 C with the windchill factor. I believe that the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales are on par at -40.

We're having a bit of a warm up. It's 56 degrees right now, with a wind chill of 54 degrees.Low tonight expected to be around 30. Those temps...I can handle...don't think I like all the cold most of you guys are experiencing. I'll stay in the South, thank you!

snowing hard on the North shore of Lake Erie, we warmed up last night to 25, temp is going down as I write, going to be 12 today and wind chill down to -25, we have had steady snow for the last 9 days and the temp has been well below normal...the lake is 95% frozen and if so inclined to do so you can walk across to Canada.........

Let's see, it was 29 this morning, but my unprotected water line didn't freeze since high temp yesterday was 71. Today it is already 73, just a little windy. We have been camping since Jan. 2nd. I never winterize my rig here in Tx. Happy Trails.

Lots of rain and ice here. Good day to stay inside and stay warm and dry. I might even have to add some antifreeze to the body later today.

Well it is afternoon some where!! Edited by: GeorgeG
