Hi, I have a 2000 crossroad 28 prep travel trailer and the underbelly is enclosed. Is this just enclosed or is it also heated? How can I tell without taking the enclosing down? Thanks,Scott.

I would try contacting crossroads directly. They should be able to look up the info based upon your vin #.

it seems on these boards the consensus is calling nets better results than emailing customer service.Edited by: anaro

My guess would be---if the underbelly is inclosed, and you have heat runs under the floor with the "floor registers", then they would more then likely consider it "heated". All you get is radiant heat from the length of the heat run.

I would say it is heated from the duct work that delivers heat to the living area, basicly radiant heat. That is if you unit has duct work. , but to be sure I would do what Aileen suggested and CALL CR customer service.

In addition to the radiant heat, my '04 Cruiser had a 1" diameter hole thru the bottom of the duct as a 'vent' into the underbelly. You might be able to remove the floor registers in the main floor and use a flashlight and small mirror to inspect inside the duct. Easier than dropping the underbelly fabric. I sealed this 'vent', decided it was too small to provide significant heat compared to the heat loss thru the uninsulated I beams and holes in them for the slide out mechanisms.
