Hi,

We're picking up our new Sunset Trail this week and had a general question. The brochure claims that the awning is "lighted". Does any have a newer unit with this? What is it? A light acoss the rail? We couldn't open up a unit since the weather was so cold to see what kind of lighting it is.

We have a lighted awning on our Jefferson. Its very nice. Just never up that late to use it yet. Its like a rope lighting.

Thats great!

Is it LED?

I already bought an LED strip, but can return it. Anyone have photos before I send this back. I pickup Friday and have all my upgrades lined up to install over the weekend.

Our new SF32RL has CareFree power awnings w/ LED Lights built in to main roller tube. Couldn't say if they're soft, warm, or hot LEDs but put out more light then "rope" lights used on last RV.

We have the power awning with LED light bar on the tube. works great and it is very brite. I would not call it a soft or warm light, more like a bright white

My st 31ss has a white led strip down the main roller. I like it because you can tilt it with the electric control to point down at the ground or reflect up. I'd say its more a cool white colour, but not overly bright. Toggle switch on main panel. It was the one light switch I kept hitting when I first picked the trailer up and wondered what it was .

Thanks Beamer5. I'll take a look. Amazing how Crossroads has details nailed down like this. What a convenience not to have to drag out the lights everytime we setup camp, especially when were traveling cross country and only staying a night here and there.

BTW, your forum id....you a BMW driver?
