31SB Questions

I just purchased a 2012 31SB. I would like to ask two questions:

Does anyone know where the water heater bypass valves are?

And has anyone worked out a bike rack for 4 bikes on the back of the trailer? I am moving the spare to under the front tongue, the bumper is way to thin to mount anything too. Frame is 68 1/2" apart, with 4" of usable space between cross member and bumper. Curt makes an adjustable hitch that fit's the width, but the brackets are to big. I have the floor sealed with that polar package, so I don't want to weld. Thinking about bolting two recievers on to each frame and building out from there, any ideas?

Here is my bike rack setup that I put on the back of our 5vr.

The valves are usually located at the back of the water heater, so you'll likely have to remove a panel to access them. Here's a picture of the winter and summer valve configurations.

Thanks for the info. I don't have any access to the back of my water heater, but I do have an access panel to my tub/shower, I'll check in there. Thanks for the bike rack pic's, giving me some ideas.

Otherwise check under the sink, or wherever area the water heater is located in...trace it back from the outside to the inside...good luck...and welcome to the forum

Look below the pantry, floor level. You can access the heater, bypass and where the shoreline is wired in. Square tipped driver bit.
