50 amp power cord storage
Our 33BD has a 25' 50 amp shore power cord that unscrews from the outlet when not in use. I'm trying to find a simple way to store it so that it's easier to carry/transport by hand and in storage compartment. I did a site search but couldn't find anything. Thanks! Robb

50 amp power cords are real beast. When the weather gets cooler they are worse yet. I don't remember reading of any -good-simple - solution, but I will watch this thread with interest to see if anybody has come up with a good plan.

power cord reel is the best, 2nd is a manual roll up wheel,
3rd is an extension cord holder you wrap around it and carry it...
in the cold you could run a heat line down it to warm it up

Those are nice cord reals, but the cost is crazy expensive. Got to be something cheaper.

25ft/50amp cables
One of mine came with a webbed strap/carrier which I like but I also found a. plastic one at wally world. Brand is Cablewraptor. You roll them up & pick up by handle. They aren't any lighter but much easier to carry.
Various sizes, use on 50, 30, & tv cables & they are inexpensive.

That's the one Lloyd. Not only easier to carry but keeps them from unwinding in the basement.

I picked up a large plant container (small tree) free a local garden center. Round container I feed the cord in with a rag in my hand to clean as I go the cord is now "trained" and stores nicely. I can also fit my 30amp in there.

Those smaller manual reels are made for garden hoses and air hoses. I tried one for my 50 amp cord for my mig welder. It's too light weight for such a heavy cord. Rolling it up by hand is a chore, but the cord will take a "set" and be easier to roll as time goes on. As far as storage I have mine hung up. In the picture I have the main cord and a 25 foot extension both in use but you can see my 50 foot 110 volt extension cord hung. The three take up very little room and are easy to get out and in. Sorry picture is sideways, too late to go out and take another picture.
