A/c Fan when Furnace comes on

We went out last weekend for the first time this year, as we live in Canada we require heat more than AC.

When the furnace is selected and the thermostat calls for heat, the AC fan comes on and runs as long as the furnace is on. I don't think this is right.

I did turn off the breaker for the AC and now no AC fan runs (to be expected) and the furnace runs normally,

Any suggestions

Also we have the small bullet lights on the top front and they are not working, does anyone know where they are fed from and are they by any chance LED lights and how do you remove them.

You need to turn the thermostat to fan and change the fan setting from lo or high to auto. This will keep it from running when the furnace is on. Had the same proiblem a few months ago when we got our unit out for the first time. You shouyld have a thermostat book if you have any questions.

Ditto on our Provincial......... don't try figuring it out after an afternoon of pops though....
an hour later, the manual spread out and reading it three to 10 times and ready to rip the thing off the wall and walla...... magic .................I got it but darned if I know what I did to get it.......LOL

In any event it was easier with two controllers, one to set the temp with heat and one to set the temp with airconditioning.

They are likely incandescent (not LED). Are both not working? If so, probably a wire problem (short maybe?). You should be able to take cover off (screw or snap on) to check bulbs

Check the switch and its' wiring connections?
